Fiber enthusiasts are coming together for the seventh annual Fiber Festival of New England, Nov. 5 & 6 in the Mallary Complex at Eastern States Exposition. The event, co-produced by the Exposition and the New England Sheep and Wool Growers Association, promotes the use of wool and other natural fibers and related products to the general public.
More than 150 New England exhibitors will be showcasing their products including clothing, quilts, blankets, rugs, looms, spinning wheels and more. Workshops on felting, spinning, punch needle, Tunisian crochet, rug hooking and more will be held both days.
Let's not forget about the Fleece Sale, Fiber Fashion Show, Make It With Wool Competition and Sheep Shearing Demonstrations.
The Southern Adirondack Fiber Festival is now the ADIRONDACK WOOL AND ARTS FESTIVAL
This event will continue to offer education on the products produced in fiber arts, raw fleece, roving, spinning supplies, needle felting, dyes, yarns, and items needed to knit, crochet, and weave.
The change to the title of the festival was made to represent the additional artisans that the festival is host to. Artisans and vendors include pottery, body care products, healing arts, jewelry, culinary arts, craft beverage producers, leather, paper crafts, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood arts, and more.
The Adirondack Wool and Arts Festival is a great chance to get a jump start on your holiday shopping. Unique, one-of-a-kind gifts, made by regional artisans.
Join us September 9th & 10th in Rowley for our second weekend to "unwind". Share, learn and create in a relaxing environment with fellow fiber artists.
